Mainly red fruit with a load of spices. Opened it without prior decant, which was a mistake, because not fully open and with acidic backbone. The last bottles were all opened some hours ago with a glass removed (drunk of course). This a must. Nevertheless very good.

Double blind. Maybe the best red wine in tonight’s tasting. Floral and expressive nose, Chambolle alright. Young and dense on the palate, thought this was a CM 1er Cru from ‘14 or ‘17. Excellent length and density as some guessed this as Grand Cru. Approachable now with its fine tannins and good balance but this had plenty of potential to develop into an exceptional wine just like the ‘93 vintage tasted recently. 94 points with upside.

Floral red Burgs / '08 or older champagnes: Had an absolutely wow nose, just the right amount of VA to give a deep and profound nose. Oak was very well-integrated with a little spice on both nose and palate, guessed 2010 Vosne because of the purity of fruit. A delicate Burgundy in a style that I love.

Champagne 2008 and older or floral reds (Imperial Grand): Almost tawny in colour, Med intensity aroma, burnt rubber, meat, iron notes. Light weight on the palate when first popped but slowly gain weight about an hour later, hint of iron, earth with touch of stems. Good acid core and fine tannins. Could age for a few more years to develop more tertiary flavors.

Mainly ripe red fruit, spices, simply perfectly together with its high density, compact power and enormous length. Wonderful!
