Third bottle from a half case purchased in 2011. Pristine condition, perfect level and cork. Youthful appearance, no signs of evolution; the nose has a deep minerality, displays hints of pine and box tree, cream and vegetables, and complex fruit aromas ranging from citrus to passion fruit; the palate is very big (15% ABV), but it somehow manages to balance honeyed ripeness with soft but fresh acidity and rich bitters, but the weight clearly impedes the precision of the flavours; the finish is quite warm and fuzzy. The nose is its best feature, and it's definitely a wine for rich fish dishes. Turbot, Dover sole, beurre blanc, Hollandaise sauce, that sort of stuff. Will last, but for my palate this is ready.

A private dinner with friends (at home): Second bottle from a half case. Quite untypical as a Sancerre, but quite fascinating as a marriage between richness and honeyed weight on the one hand, and box-tree Sauvignon typicity and elegance on the other. Still very youthful at nine years of age, good career ahead I think.

Great wine, losing some precision and acidity because of the warmth of the 2009 vintage. But his remains an exceptionnal sauvignon blanc wine, ripe with good citrus/mandarine character. 15% alcohol might be a tad too much for me bit I like it a lot. Would seek cooler vintage (08 and 14 for ex). Can easily hold another 5 year.

Encore très bon, moins expressif, mais encore une très belle tension et beaucoup de caractère.
