Very nice wine for the vintage, big, with Apple green fruit balancing the oak/buttered popcorn. Held up well with food, and think it will last for a while longer.

The 2003 Coche Dury Meursault Perrières certainly reflects the vintage with its aromas of ripe apples, buttered popcorn and caramel. Seemed fully mature and low in acidity, the fruit had a slightly bruised character that would raise concerns about this wine's longevity if I had any in my cellar. It is rich, almost unctuous, but a little lacking in complexity and detail.

White House Dinner (Their House, Hong Kong): Very light straw gold colour. Muted oaky nose which is on the oaky end of the spectrum for my taste but no overly so. Palate is squeezed lemons and lemon boiled sweets. Decent length. This is a super, heavyweight Burgundy but not quite to my taste.....I find it a bit overdone.

Light matchstick and citrus aromatics. Full broad palate with unctuous texture. Cut this with a knife. (280)

Full body developed over time in the glass, pure classic burgundy, great to share with my father
