  Salon Ficofi Paris walkabout tasting and dinner, no detailed tasting notes. Really grand, combines richness with racy freshness, lime, gunflint.

  Acidity dominates now - less reductive hints than when I had it last. great intensity but perhaps in a slightly closed period currently

  the nose, always the gunpowder with coche, a little les present for this vintage , but still present ! I had a very nice smokey noise as a under layer and on top of that peach, honey, sweetness and in the mouth it was also sharp as the lafon but such more balance through the fat as a transporter and what a finesse , but perfect perfect balance , pfffff what a wine ! drink now

  The last vintage made by Jean Francois before son Raphaël took over. It’s a throwback Coche, oily, rich and luscious. Soaked in essence of yellow fruits with a suggestion of lemon. Held up perfectly in the glass for several hours. Seems fully mature but so vibrant I doubt it will fade anytime soon.

  A delicious Perrières, but not yet ready though.
  Reduction was obvious despite 3 hours in a decanter. It took a while before for the wine to blossom. A bit less tension than usual Coche, and more fatiness. It is rich, creamy, long, and very mineral at the same time. Floral aromas, citrus, a bit of smokiness on the nose. Very good, but lacks its usual vibrancy. Probably in a semi-closing phase. Will wait 4/5 years before opening another one.
