Wow, so classically Coche and unbelievably young. Grand Cru in all but name, this had it all concentration, complexity and length.

Burgundy Dinner with Friends (71 Above - Los Angeles CA): Typical Coche reductive start, this slowly, slowly, slowly opened up, with the second pour suddenly and magically popping. Stone and orchard fruits throughout with wonderfully floral notes. Patience rewarded in this bottle and glass.

Maintaining the freshness of fruit along with depth. Less focus than this wine had a few years ago. Good bottle.

Unfortunately this 1999 Coche Dury Meursualt Perrieres was advanced and not enjoyable. A real shame not only because it’s expensive and rare, more importantly the last bottle of Coche Dury Perrieres 1999 was one of the best bottles of white wine I have ever had (if not the best). Oh well… (Not rated)
