  • Initially a slight fizz and a lack of aroma. Maybe it was also corked, maybe not. As the wine warmed a little, it was clearly corked. So disappointed.

  • The wine was medium to dark ruby in colour and had a stinky nose of floral notes, ripe red and dark fruit, spices and liquorice. On the palate, the medium-bodied wine showed ripe red and dark fruit, cola, smoke, spices, liquorice, a hint of vanilla and a damp earth component, with some residual CO2, ripe, well-integrated tannin, medium-level acidity, a good, smooth and creamy mouthfeel and good length. It had average concentration and complexity, but became reasonable smooth and reasonably balanced after some aeration. The price tag is ambitious and there are countless wines offering better value, but the wine is pleasant to drink. 90(-)

  • Full bodied, dark and extracted. Alcohol is showing a bit too much, I thought it would blow off, but it didn't. There's a good amount of stink to the wine, lots of forest floor and old flower water. Plush dark fruits, fermented tobacco, and damp earth. Ready to rock, but could probably hang out for a few more years. I am not disappointed, just not as impressed as I wanted to be.

  • The wine was medium ruby in colour and offered red and dark fruit, spices and smoke on the nose. On the palate the medium-bodied wine showed sweet red and dark berries (mainly dark), cola, spice and some liquorice as well as hints of vanilla and smoke, with a touch of residual CO2, medium-level acidity, ripe, smooth, medium-level tannin, a creamy mouthfeel and very good length. The medium-bodied wine had average complexity, but was very balanced and complete and drank well.

  • Nothing special in this wine, heavy weight Pinot, a little clunky.
