PnP. Medium deep red. Very tangy nose of pomegranate, perhaps rhubarb, and spice notes - definitely on the savory end of the spectrum. Good intensity of flavor on the palate (as expected for Central Otago) but perhaps a bit drying and alcoholic on the finish - may need air and likely will go better with a meal.

Classic Central Otago PN with great complexity. Fresh white button mushroom and raspberry-cherry fruit premier on opening with great intensity. With air, the palate become notably bright with an acid structure. Earthy and complicated. This wine expresses its terroir beautifully and has developed into something special. Certainly Central Otago in style. At, or perhaps slightly past its apex of development, depending on one’s tolerance for the acid backbone that appears with air. The finish is certainly not drying, but is tangy.
