First Wednesday Wine Club (Bella Puglia, Five Dock): SErved blind Blackberry, sweet spice, raspberry, slightly peppery notes accompany some stalky whole bunch. In the mouth it is juicy, fleshy, cherry and berry, a little earthiness, a sense of power and a touch of alcohol warmth on the finish. I went with NZ, Central Otago, 5-10 years and thought that this was the Burn Cottage

Medium ruby. Floral, red/black cherry nose. Medium bodied. Blackcurrant, black cherry, herbaceous palate. 13.5% abv. Good wine, first of six and it will be interesting to see how it evolves.

It will surely be worth the comparison with Trapet Ostrea's ! Showing loads of riper fruits, whole bunch profile, earthiness, and a bit of funk may I say ... which makes it even more enjoyable 😇 😋
Palate is refined and fruity, but larger and warmer than the Trapet, showing its origin, with less austere length, a more enjoyable profile, but still to me burgundy wins here ! gummy tannins as well, upfront, no oak again, just a little less long and acid ! Nice ripe aftertaste
90/92

Expressive floral nose of dark plum and raspberry, tasty fruit, good mouthfeel, line of acid holding up the backbone. Can improve further
