Weeknight Wines Blind: Served blind. This was corked although the fruit intensity here was still something cool to try. Raisiny, creamy. Never had one of these so I guess I will reserve any more comment due to the TCA and also my shift away from sweeter wines.

Interesting this wine can be light on its feet and drink anytime, or intense like a port. This time right in the middle. Excellent dark purple color yet very nice nose with blended flowers and fruit. Always a crowd pleaser.

It's always nice to have dal Forno and this Amarone was a decent expression of one which still has some of the complexity, but is heading into more 'oxidised' territory. Still rich and juicy on both the nose and the palate with plums, black cherries, cinnamon and spices but with a reserved cooked/oxidated flavour to it. Punchy on the palate also, with the addition of chocolate, cider and blackcurrant. Still got legs on this one for a bit longer still!

Dark fruit viscous, beautiful legs, raisin, dry velvety. Herbal notes on finish. Likely cellar well for several more years. 2 hour decant

Bummer, the nose was TCA but the flavors held up. Just couldn't get past the nose.
