Herbaceous on the Nose (mint, dill). Cherry and Vanilla. Acidic on the front of the mouth, but soft and smooth on the finish. Well balanced. Suave tannins lead to a long and pleasurable finish.

Benjamin Leroux and Camille Giroud with Paul Wasserman (Dig Wines, San Francisco): Slightly lighter than the village Gevrey. More sinuous, complex aromatics that include red fruit but also some higher tones. Lacier and lighter in the mouth. Elegant feel with an even better interplay of fruit and soil in a prototypical Gevrey way. No wood to speak of. Very open right now, but I imagine this will close soon. A very fine rendition of a lighter style Gevrey Grand Cru, truly very pretty wine.

Rounded nose- complex and satisfying. On palate softness and multiple layers blend in a nicely structured mouthfull.
