Pretty decent bottle, drinking well now. Nice acidity with a touch of bitterness, but finishes with a hint of botrytis fruit (as always with Z-H). I imagine this being much more versatile with food than many other Z-H.

Blend of Chardonnay and Auxerrois from Clos Windsbuhl. Very appealing on the nose - peaches, graphite, honey and wild florals. Off-dry and rounded palate, there is some texture to it keeping it from being one dimensional. It could have used a touch more acid, it isn't flabby but some more focus would have really lifted it.

The Wine Society Dining Club 252nd Dinner (Drapers' Hall, London): Certainly not dry, honeyed, juicy, soft but fresh, easy but quite delightful.

Pale green with a plump, round nose. Quite a soft style, the lemon fruit is tart and a little sour. Simple but pleasant.
