  • Drink now. This isn't improving any more and slightly lost some brightness compared with the previous bottle last year. 87-88
Nevertheless, it does benefit from breathing 30-40 min in the glass and warming up a bit.
Lost some of the charm on the second day.

  • Gold, medium intensity. The nose is clean, with citrus and tropical fruit aromas. The palate is slightly off dry, with very pleasant flavors of bitter orange marmalade and Key lime pie. The pronounced (-) acidity keeps the fruit in check. The alcohol is medium at 13%. The mouthfeel is smooth and there is a nice dry minerality to the medium (+) long finish. This wine is nicely balanced, medium bodied, with a medium (+) flavor intensity. Drink now, i don't think it is going to improve with further ageing, although it is by no means past its prime. A fun wine.

  • Broad and creamy with a savoury, spicy layer on the finish. Seems to be delineated according to its blend of 70% Chardonnay/30% Auxerrois. Good stuff and worthwhile at £12.

  • Good stuff. A bit sweet fruit but as it opened up a bit of richness gave it a more meaty palate. Crisp finish, surprisingly, thankfully not cloying.

  • Two-thirds Chardonnay, one-third Auxerrois.
Served at 7C, allowed to breath and warm up a bit; sampled over an hour or so. Impressive nose, starts off perfumed, fruity (melons, nectarines, citrus) after 40-60 minutes, somewhat vegetal with guava notes. Settles down after an hour. Cirtusy palate; 25 second finish. When the glass is finally empty after 80 min what remains is a faint floral/honey smell. I think its at its best after an hour, but don't miss the interesting evolution. Good value. Interesting, but I wouldn't get a whole case. It's definitely ready now, but I would imagine it will last another year.
