  • Lots going on here, with notes of lemon oil, stone fruit, and honeydew melon flanked by hints of sea salt and smoke. Oak emerges with more air, and a flinty note weaves in too. Lively acidity keeps it all feeling fresh.

  • Color: light gold with green
Nose: apple and peach, fairly ripe actually. Match. Minerals. A good amount of wet stone. Perhaps some white ribes
Palate: medium acidity, hint of bitter, medium-full body. Has a fairly fruit-driven mouth, with minerals taking a bit of a backseat
    Finish: medium

Good albeit fruit-forward and a little ripe in the context of something made out of chardonnay in Alsace. I feel like perhaps I'm not really qualified to a review here because I don't really know auxerroise but I think it plays a big role here. I have 3 more bottles but the acidity level here suggests drinking rather than waiting to me. Best after 45 mins of air, warmish
