For me this is the classic Chianty, picturebook. Dark in colour. Cellar notes in the nose with cooked vegetable, leather and dark cherries.. Holds up in the nose. Very high in acidity and high in tannins. Good structure, not necessarily harmonious but in a good way. Old school with character. For someone prefering a less 'hairy' oneI find the Fontodi similar but more rounded.

D1h. Dark red, red rim, 5. Spicy oaky bouquet with some green unmature fruit behind. Lean unbalanced palate, rather aggressive acidity, too oaky, lacking fruit. Hopefully this is an off bottle!

Mixed feelings... Deep ruby colour, cherries and prunes on the nose already indicating rustical character of the wine, I could also smell some mashroom. On the palate rustical with black fruit hidden beyond medium acidity and tannins, medium to full body, nicely round with hints of vanilla and some mint.

The wine looks crimson colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like cranberry. It tastes like strawberry jam, light toast and cinnamon. The body is medium. The wine has polished texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has low acidity.
