Dark ruby, little or no sign of age. The nose is fairly muted, but subtly attractive too - I can only describe it as very Sangiovese. The palate is elegant (I thought of saying 'lean' but that sounds negative) and perfectly balanced: the tannins are not that assertive, and very fine; there's good acidity, and smoky, plummy fruit. The finish is long, though not mouth-filling. If you want a big, sweet wine, avoid this. But if you want a very classy, linear Chianti, this is the bee's knees. Cork 13%.

Tuscany 2006 (Winicjatywa): ruby colour with lighter rim. nose: cherries and sweet cherries; some cardboard and tobacco; light and pleasant. taste: medium acidity; quite large tanins volume; empty on mid palate; black cherries in the finish.

Reaching maturity . Notes of cherries, tobacco and oak, medium bodied palate with a good red fruit reserve, well integrated tannins and acidity that goes so well with food. Tannins well integrated.

DnP. Surprisingly fresh medium dark red, red/yellow tinged, 5.5. Wonderfull mature complex bouquet, spicy, red fruits, cherry, slavonian casks. Harmonious palate, l+T, hA, m-B, sappy, loaded with red fruits, elegant finish. Drink now-onwards. Really a surprise. Peaking now. Fantastic QPR
