  Last of 6, pnp, perfect cork and level, as August bottle, attractive, youthful, layered and balanced if on citric side without any hint of pox, just lacks the material of the best vintages, upside, 7+ years. F+ (18).

  5th of 6, pnp, perfect cork and level, as June bottle, GC weight and fine drive to fruit with attractive citric cut, some upside if POX kept at bay.F+ (18).

  4th of 6, pnp, perfect cork and level, even more to it than April bottle, starting to unfurl properly, youthful, nuanced, upside, 5-10 years on this showing. F+ (18).

  3rd of 6, pnp, perfect cork and level, much improved since last March, still pale and young, but fine nuanced flavour profile now emerging, tad sharp yet, just needs to round out and show more of the power usual in a Sauzet Combettes, no hint of pox, upside and good for 10 years. F (17.5).

  2nd of 6, pnp, perfect cork and level, pale and closed, very simple flavour profile, as far as possible to discern attractive underlying characteristics as previously noted and I would expect substantial upside here but it needs to deliver the usual Combettes weight currently absent, at least no pox. VG (16) on basis of what's in glass........should have looked at last July's note recommending decanting!!!
