  • This was interesting have it side by side to the 1994. It seemed a bit tired and aged when 1st popped but over a few hours in the decanter it just kept added weight and complexity. Wool, cellar funk, jalapeno, vanilla, herbs, some barrel notes adding roundness, mineral framework and back end acids. I love tasting aged wines that are still cruising.

  • Consistent with previous note. Deep and rich, showing copious secondary and tertiary notes. Great acid, excellent with food, thought-provoking finish. 93-94.

  • Fascinating wine. Tasted blind. Knew it had some age because of the golden color, but would not have guessed 24 years. Integrated oak imparted strong toasted nut, coconut, and (non-sweet) caramel qualities to the wine. Powerful acids, that were even more pronounced on the second day. Oxidative notes put my mind to Rhone, and was surprised to learn it was Burgundy. Great experience.

  • This wine was very educational for me since I've been bitten by the white burg bug. Beautiful melted carmal corn, butter, toasted hazelnuts and creamy richness on the nose. Beautiful gold/amber color showing it's age but the nose and palate were still fresh and bright but mature. The palate still had amazing acids with hazenuts, honey, vanilla, mineral, honey and sea breeze. Holding stong in a mature state with many years to continue to develope.
