  • Lovely, lovely Puligny. In a great place. Needed 30 minutes of air.

  • 1st of 6, opened 30 minutes, perfect cork and level - light yellow, quite leggy; orchard fruit with strong lemon curd element, some chalk, attractive, very Sauzet bouquet; medium, ok length, decent depth, simple as yet and not ready, substantial upside possible and 12+ years but S is a bad offender on pox! For now F (17.5).

  • Nose: Citrus, pineapple, cheese, brioche
Notes: Overall a balanced wine although it is a little on the mineral side. Burgundy whites tend to be a little tricky nowadays due to the fact that the wine is either too young or premoxed while the drinking window becomes quite unpredictable. I would say that this wine is definitely too young for consumption at this moment and deserves at least another 5-6 years of cellaring before consumption. Mainly still primary notes now and both the nose and the palate shows that the wine is still very young. Not entirely its fault but it is a difficult to rate this wine highly as of today.

  • This was opened with minimum expectations due to its relatively young age, but this bottle is already singing and could put many a Grand Cru to shame. Possessing an excellent nose with apple and lemon and underlying honeyed notes, with sufficient aeration the palate comes alive with a remarkable depth and excellent acidity. Likewise the finish is stunning with lingering saline and citrus pushing past 30 seconds. Highly recommended and I assume still decent value for money.

  • So fresh and minerals on the nose, yet so powerful and chunky in the mouth. Stellar!
