Dark ruby with strong legs. Good mouthfeel with tannins that have mellowed into rich complexity. Oak, pepper, mint, blackberry and banana on the tongue, with a smooth wet finish. Everyone really enjoyed this wine and commented on how well it complemented the steak dinner.

Impressive and robust with black pepper nose and a palate loaded with oak, savoury and black fruit spice. Super smooth tannins and serious length that just keeps on giving and giving.

Red when viewing a tasting amount in the glass; deep crimson in the glass and decanter. Nose of cooked green pepper, smoke, black licorice, vanilla, mint and a little cedar. Earthy, Maine blueberry, mint; tannins are not over powering.

I had 3 bottles of the same 2009. The fisrt one was absolutely excellent! Two others were far away from the first one. No ideas.
