Bought recently. Medium to dark garnet colour, some sediment. Sweet fruit, dark cherry, black currant, bell pepper, vegetal notes, some chocolate, some tobacco, mint, menthol, and black pepper, with medium-level acidity, mostly resolved tannin, and average length. Good complexity, a smooth texture, and good balance. Only the finish is a little short. Very lightly drying on the finish. Seems to be passing its peak, I suggest to drink now.

Dark garnet colour. Dark fruit, black currant, dark cherry, bell pepper, light chocolate, intense mint, spices, vegetal notes, herbaceous notes, and light balsamic notes, with good acidity, fully resolved tannin, and good length. Medium-bodied, smoothly textured, and harmonious. Very minty. A solid Cabernet. Drink now, and over the next three or four years.

As others have recently attested, this is still singing. Really lovely wine; exactly what I was hoping for. That nice subtle mint on the nose and palate, but integrated nicely with some lovely wet earth tones, with the support of some nice dark red fruits in the background. It reminded me of a 1973 La Mission Haut Brion I had in the early 80s for some reason. In other words, this is aging like a fine Bordeaux. And it was still lovely on day 2 (overnight in bottle with maybe 1 1/2 inches left, just stopped, no gas). I don't think this will get better, but it may last a while. I have one left, and may wait a while to see what happens. I wish I had more of these!

Classic Thelema, mellowed out. Inky colour and berry, minty nose...who says SA wines don't age?

At 17 years still brimming with Thelema character. An eye opener
