  • Absolutely stunning performance. Past peak, but cork tight (literally no loss) and only to 50% wet.
Tar, coffee, earth and dried herbs now in the foreground. Acid not completely used up yet, nicely balanced and still fleshy. A delight.
    Last bottle.

  • Very dark color. Strong nose of mint/menthol/eucalyptus, wet earth. Wow in the mouth – similar notes of mint (a bit more subdued and subtle than the nose) with some nice earth, mushroom, coffee, marred by a very very slight bitterness. This is really lovely. Far better than I remember the last one to be. A few days later, with a 1/4 of bottle in fridge, still singing nicely. Wish I had more of these.

  • Still drinking nicely. Some nice subtle flavors of mint, with fading fruits that provide some nice structure. I can't see this improving, but it is not dead by any means either! Lovely to drink an aged South African cab from one of my favorite producers.
