very much nebbiolo nose. hint of vanilla, and after enough time in glass there's some mushroom notes. silky on entry but with enough body, making me think it's a barbaresco. But then there's quite a lot of tannin on finish worthy of a young barolo.

Beau vin un peu corsé, attaque arôme de viande en début et acidité (fruit) à la fin qui accompagne très bien le repas. Vin en fin de vie ? non (!), très bon à mon avis, pas mort du tout et bien assoupli parce que sans astringence désagréable sans même attendre qu'il soit aéré.

Served with veal osso bucco (no tomatoes). From the cellar 3 hours before and decanted immediately. A bit rough at that point and settled ok. Drank well with the meal but nothing outstanding. Remaining bottles should be dispatched in short order.
