Much better than our last bottle, cork in great shape. Evolved interesting nose of dusty red berries, forest floor, dried dates, and herbs. Light to medium bodied with nice acidity to its dried berry, fallen leaves, and dried rose petal flavors. Finish is enjoyable and quite savory. Drink.

Very tertiary and evolved, but somewhat enjoyable for that reason. Mature aromas of dusty cassis, forest floor, mushroom, and broth. Medium bodied with still present acidity to its red current, aged tobacco and savory spice, and as well as resolved soft tannins on the finish. Drink.

I was expecting much when I opened this. It was late, and all I wanted was a glass of red to finish the evening – something that I wouldn’t mind throwing most of the bottle away. Well, it hasn’t gotten better over the year, but it hasn’t declined horrible either. Still, I’m happy this is my last bottle. Cedar and lead pencil nose initially, but the cedar dissipated somewhat over the hour leaving a moist earth and somewhat metallic (stainless steel comes to mind) initial nose. A Bretty element lurks under this if you dig a little. If you try, you can some tried fruits, nuts and slight raisins. More earth and lether in the mouse, with a short finish (although fuller than I last recall from a year ago). Ends in some smoky wood and earth notes, which actually lingered for some time on the palette.
