Still going strong, in fact very fresh still, with perhaps a little too much lush blackberry, but with enough crisp blackcurrant on the finish to keep it from becoming syrupy. Many years left.

This showed better than the last bottle. Smooth tannins, only needs a brief decant. Black cherry and raspberry on the palate. Won’t blow your mind, but a pleasant Bordeaux and good QPR.

Blending according to the label 50% Cabernet Sauvignon and 50% Merlot (according to the technical sheet 42.5% Cabernet Sauvignon, 55% Merlot and 2.5% Cabernet Franc), aged 15 months in French oak barrels (35% new), fining with white egg, 13.5% vol.
Decanted an hour before dinner. Mature classic Médoc showing leather, underwood and black currant, good freshness, tannins still show their edges, medium+ bodied and long finish.
Not the most exciting wine but very solid and superb with cheese and bread and as always with a superb price to quality relation, drink within the next 4 to 6 years.

Nose: overall - plum pudding, fruit - blackberry, vegetable - celeriac, herb - chervil. Taste: Rich deep rounded, all you would expect from Haut Medoc . with beef it added dark fruits, no edge, helpful tannins - not a barrier. Still bright. Two or three years still if cellared correctly. Perfect 13.5% perfect 50/50 Merlot/Cab Franc Essential to decant - we gave it all afternoon
