I have a good eye to Chateau Citran. However, I always prefer to drink it when it's not much older then 10 -12 years, often best after maybe 7 or 8 years. When I open the older bottles, the first impression in my nose is that it's over the top. That goes for this bottle, too. Thankfully, it tasted more healthy then it smelled. It had som fruit and some charm, but it believe it has lost some of it's concentration and freshnes that I look for in a good Chateau Citran. So my advice is to drink it younger, but if you have older bottles they might still be more than OK. But there is no reason to wait to enjoy them.

MM’s belayed birthday; a mixed set of whites, reds, and sweet wines. (@ MM): In the bouquet metal, cherry and earth. On the palate a mature wine with earth, green herbs and green bell pepper. There is ok acidity with good freshness and melted tannin. Overall an ok and still pleasurable, quite mature and basic (plus) wine. Drink now or very soon.

Mursteinsrød mørk farge. Solbærlukt med tydelig alderspreg. Kraftig smak av mørke bær. Litt tanniner.

En del bunnfall som forventet. Mer frukt enn forventet.
