3rd of 6, opened an hour, perfect cork and level, deeper yellow, hint of pox on nose, but fresh enough on palate, flavours broader than more exciting bottle in December, proper weight and drive of a GC, if pox avoided should regain focus, upside, 10 years. F+ (18).

2nd of 6, decanted 30 minutes, perfect cork and level, flavours as described in last December's note, starting to unfurl and put on proper GC weight, impressive length and persistence, upside yet, 10+ years. VF (18.5).

1st of 6, opened 30 minutes, perfect cork and level - pale straw, unctuous, youthful; orchard fruit, white peach, citric twist, hint of spearmint (I think), flint, fresh, complex and pure; medium, long, outstanding persistence, more concentrated than initially thought, complex but quite tight and more linear than on nose, no hint of pox, coiled spring energy, in style of excellent Ruchottes with more to it, substantial upside, 15 years. VF (18.5).......worth decanting for a couple of hours!

The 2011 shows the white peach profile of the 1992 and 1999 beside and there's a bit of mint, but it misses on the depth and resonance of those wines. A bit of Ramonet junior. Hm.

Bâtard-Montrachet and Cathiard Malconsorts Dinner with Acker (Brindille - Chicago IL): Alongside the 2010, both opened 15 minutes before serving. Much like the profile of the 201, with floral and spice nicely supporting lots of orchard fruit. Just not as layered, long or complex as the stunning 2010.
