  From magnum, this was breathtaking. As close to Burgundy perfection as could be imagined. Lively, sweet fruit and an earthy truffle essence that only comes with age. Immensely grateful to drink this classic. The kind of wine you think about for days afterward, truly profound.

  Rich and smooth palate here with good power, although it began to come apart slightly on the edges after an hour. Still very composed. 95-96

  Appealing funk on the initial nose with faint petrol notes. Core nose of intense acid, yellow floral notes, dry lemon zest and light spice. Smooth across the palate with a slight tart citric acid finish and faint wood notes. Beautiful mature bottle. 96-97
