Querciabella tasting (Jeroboam HQ): 50% Chardonnay – 50% Pinot Bianco First vintage 1988, average production 15,000btl, average yield 25hl/ha. Alcoholic fermentation and malolactic convention in French barriques. Maturation in barriques for 12 months. Farther 6 months maturation in cement tanks and 6 months in bottle. -//- The wine shows deeper color The wine shows fully developed profile, overripe tropical fruits, very exotic, nutty, almond, more oaky in character, old school in style compared to 2018 In the palate, the wine shows again the same profile, overripe peach, apricot, pineapple, light/fresh jam, nutty again, nice acidity, quince, biscuit, medium to full body, medium to long finish The wine shows buttery notes, butterscotch, a touch of caramel, more on the almond side, there are tannins here and there

Dry, a little sweet, honey, a little spicy with a good minerality. Interesting nose. This 50/50 Chardonnay/Pinot Bianco is just in a perfect spot right now. An exciting wine.

Nice tight nose opens to lovely flavor array of peaches, flowers and minerals. Actually needs 15 min of coaxing before showing its full capabilities. Nice balance and acidity.
