Really delicious. Popped and poured. Was drinking great right away. There may have been more fruit here a few years back, I don’t know, but there’s the right amount to be balanced and if there were more fruit that would have been a fine addition. I was worried this might be passed its prime, but I really enjoyed this one and could sit on the others for at least a few more years I think.

We sipped during our Curb Your Enthusiasm Marathon and Tapas Weekend, Day 3. Blend of 50/50 Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc. Dark yellow. Great vanilla and oak on the nose with a touch of positive oxidative notes. The winemaker suggests sipping as late as 2017...or later. We tend to agree as the powerful aromas suggest this bottle will last. A silky, smooth and slightly thick presentation of cream and oak on the palate. Delightful! We rank this as one of the best white wines in Italy!!! It rivals some of the best Burgundy and California whites!

A fabulous wine from a good Tuscan producer. It had the great chardonnay qualities I enjoy (creamy, slightly buttery, good vanilla from the oak) with the great crisp, clean, green appley qualities of a good pinot grigio. I had this with a ribollita soup (black kale and tuscan bean) and it really made both the wine and soup sing. Would also recommend this with seafood (particularly squid). A really great Italian white.
