Good but nothing sensational, slightly hard edge to the tannins that restricts the dark fruit elements to the wine. Difficult to be sure that the will improve with further ageing.

The 2012 Desmirail has medium body and lacks the intensity of a great Margaux; however the Cabernet and the Merlot are well blended and the fruit is delicious. I enjoyed drinking this lower alcohol wine which is so rare today. Paired with a strip steak - good pairing even without high alcohol level of most Cabs.

Touch of mocha, kinda light and hollow on the palate.
