Dark red garnet in the glass. Dark red fruit and graphite on the nose and palate. Medium plus tannins and medium acidity support the full-bodied mouthfeel. A great "budget" Bordeaux in the classic style.

Bit of a hazy day but I remember that I expected a little more from this. Flavour profile was correct some cassis and cedar but it was quite soft lack some structure or back bone. was fine for Christmas dinner as neither overpowered or was overpowered but not mindblowing surprisingly, no sediment whatsoever in the bottle

Dug out of my cellar, god I don't know how long it's been there. I've had several vintages of this estate over the years but not in the last 5 years, so can't recall how much I like. However, since this never been a Parker-philes' favorite Bordeaux (pardon its Grand Cru Classe status), I didn't have much anticipation to start with which is a good setup for surprise. And what a surprise. While it doesn't have much weight and volume, it's not along the way of thin, watery, or short. Color has changed toward brownish due to age. A beautiful floral and earthy nose with a bit of mushroom that last quite a while in glass. On the palate, it's medium body with blanced dried red fruits, pencil and hints of vanilla with nice 30-second finish. Elegant and poise, it's punching well above its pay grade. I guess good things can happen when you hope for none and set your mind free. Or perhaps my palate has not been all that tamed by the California fruit bombs.

das ist zu wenig für ein 3e
Keine Kraft, wenig Volumen. Länge fehlt

Medium bodied, perfumed and floral, with dark fruit and soft tannins. Nothing to dislike.
