Intense dark red color. Violets and cherries in the nose. Dark cherries, wet tobacco and green herbal notes on the palate. Medium+ bodied with a low acidity. Tannins are nicely integrated. Medium complexity. Good medium long to long finish with some earthy notes. An interesting wine from Campania, a region in southern Italy, around the city of Naples. Drink up soon.

This was a nice companion to a Osso Buco with Risotto Milanese, very good now but I will keep my other bittle for a few years just to see the difference.

Had this over 2 days and it clearly needed some air. Initially very closed, damp, thirst thought was it was a bad bottle. After a couple of hours some leather and black plum appears. Lots of spice. Medium length and tannins. Day 2 it reveals more fruit, ripe plum, tobacco, black peppery finish. It was a much better wine the second day.
