Dark golden color but what a nose, perfectly mature grand burgundy with some peppery and minty notes. On the palate prominent acidity balancing the huge body. This is an archetypical grand cru and what I expect from a burgundy of this kind, not too bold or big and this incredible texture and aromatic complexity. Will keep for ten more years but is already delicious now!

This had been decanted four hours before drinking. A very impressive wine. Medium yellow color. Strikingly youthful in every respect. A complex, soaring nose of spice, flowers, baked apple, pear, and minerals, along with hints of earthiness. In the mouth, exquisite, concentrated, and forceful but retaining a excellent balance. The fruit is explosive and youthful, with the only nit being perhaps the acidity sticks out a touch too much. But it's terrific and drinking beautifully. A remarkable, memorable finish that persists impressively. A

Not oxidised. Surprisingly very good. Probably the best Prieur I've had. Not in the top league - too one dimensional, but still very good mature GC WB.

Not premoxed but much blowsier than the early bottle. For lovers of old style Aussie Chardonnay
