Community Tasting Notes (1) Avg Score: 92.5 points

  • Opened at Granor Farms. Not decanted. Purchased at auction for $50. 2012 was an excellent vintage in the Ahr Valley and this wine clearly demonstrated that. Medium red color. Wonderful balance and acidity. An elegant and minerally Pinot Noir. Notes of smoked red fruit, slate and ripe cherries. Medium bodied with integrated tannins. Drinking great now but should continue to show well for years. 95 points.
