Medium ruby colour. Red fruit, cherry, forest berries, citrus, orange peel, forest notes, herbal notes, spices, liquorice, toast and smoke, then again citrus and orange peel on the finish, with medium-level acidity, partly resolved tannin, a creamy texture and very good length. Full and brooding. Some sweetness from the ripe fruit, yet the wine remained savory despite of the sweetness of fruit. A little square, with some rough edges. Much smoother in day two. The wine will need another three to five years to fully resolve the tannin and reach its peak. I would hold. If you can’t resist, make sure to decant for three hours (or even the evening before) and to serve at 16 degrees. 92(?)

Ruby colored and transparent. Earthy and savoury nose with some leather notes and ripe Pinot fruit. Soft palate of medium weight, depth of flavor and medium finish. Very good wine. Paired excellently with salmon shashimi in soy sauce and ginger.

Smoky. Lovely wine. Black fruits, chocolate, tobacco. Awesome length. Great structure. Plenty of time ahead of this - drinking thorough 2020 and longer.
