  • Pale lemon color. Ripe lemon nose with whiffs of sea breeze, pineapple, ginger, and later butterscotch. On the palate, this is initially very tight, showing some lemon and pineapple fruit with a resounding, nearly piercing stoniness on the finish. The minerality of the finish creeps into the mid-palate over time. The wine begins to open and blossom into a rich, ripe expression of Chardonnay with 45 minutes in the glass. Color deepens a bit too. Overall, this is aging as it should and is on the way to being a wine of class and distinction, even if it speaks more of the Cote de Beaune than Chablis to me at this time (probably due to the oak). Great Chardonnay.

  • Tart but not quite over the hill. Litle fruit with some honey.
