Friday Night Brown Bagger (J&J's): Double blind. Pale straw yellow color, looks much more youthful than WU1. opens with an odd cheesy/funky aroma, but that eventually blows off leaving pear, florals, sweet/ripe (meant to be complimentary) orchard fruit and some sort of spice that I couldn't place- I noted cardamom, but that's not quite right- whatever it was it was pleasant. Orhcard fruit and pear, with nice acidity. I preferred this to the first. Guessed chardonnay. 91+ pts.

Smoky, flinty on the nose with lots of depth and layered, ripe fruit notes. On the palate still a little tight, showing wonderful minerality, warm fruit, great acidity and a long finish. Drink or keep. 91-93

This bottle was fresh, not showing any pre-mox. Excellent with cheddar cheese.

Both bottles were showing pre-mox. It's a first for this case. I'll open the last two bottles soon.

Enjoyable Chablis which complemented wonderful Rhode Island oysters from Matunuck Oyster Bar. Well balanced, good fruit/minerality, and acidity. 91
