Ruby red, with translucent edges, forest red fruits and hints of balsam on the nose, medium-bodied, lively on the palate with pleasant astringency and a lingering finish. Only one more bottle in the cellar :(

Dark red, muted nose with hints of cinnamon and balsam, lighter- to medium-bodied, plenty of vibrant acidity and a long finish that starts on the astringent side and eases into memory. Worth chewing on. Yum.

Bright red, silky texture in a medium-bodied glove laced with spicy fruit. Fantastic accompaniment to duck w/cherries (thank you, Melissa Clark!) Tried with Les Bas de Combes/Hudelot-Noellat, same year, and while both are drinking beautifully, the Arnoux is more precise and elegant.

Arnoux Lachaux NSG tasting. Drank in Conterno Sensory. Appearance is clear, very pale intensity, ruby colour. Legs. Nose is clean, medium intensity, airy transparent feel with aromas of stony minerality, cool red cherries, red plum, ripe strawberry. Developing. On the palate, dry, lovely high acidity, medium alcohol (13.5%), nicely textured fine boned medium- tannns, medium body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of silky cool red cherries, soft red plum, ripe strawberry, stony minerality. Sneaky long finish that speaks of acidity and coolness. Very good quality. Feels like some latent power and it could put on more weight with more age development. Also nice at the moment. Guessed correctly as 2013 but wrong plot.

Not a great bottle. Not balanced and slightly dried out. Fruit unsuccessfully tries to emerge with time open. Maybe off bottle.
