Opened up really nicely by day 2. Aromas of dark berries, strawberry cream, herbs on the back end. Also some faint oranges and tobacco, leather, vanilla. Overall good structure with medium acidity, medium dusty tannins that were in the background. Long finish where you get some bitter black tea. I really enjoyed this wine.

Wine tasting at the office: superb 2nd wine of Ornellaia: plum, tobacco, soft oak, blackberry, leather, dark fruit, medium to full body, great long finish.

Inky rich plush Hallmarks of the top wine but not enough on the finish. I expected more on the finish. Good and I like it but quite expensive for what it is. Not on my to buy list.

Popped and poured. Started quite closed with not much on the bouquet or flavour profile. After two hours it started opening up with a lovely texture, great balance and nice long finish. Red fruit dominant. Very enjoyable.

Second bottle of this and much further along its development than the last, but this has many years yet to keep growing and giving.
Double decanted the morning before drinking. Slightly muted nose (might have been me) with red berries and floral notes. Palate was darker berries, cassis and earthy herbs. Tannins settling nicely and good acidity. Kept developing all night. Will try again in another 4-5 years.
