  Round and rich, fresh but polished and welcoming wine , almost felt this is really to drink now and would refrain from over aging this ( that been said we never tried an old vintage fo these so is a feel than a data point) . Good wine for sure with a price tag too though. 90

  December brings yet another super approachable rock star Ornellaia cuvée, here first go w LSN 2020 (14.5% ABV, 44% M, 30% CS, 13% CF, 13% PV) - shining bright like a ruby in an ever so admirable balanced concentration. Dark ruby, fully translucent, purple rims. Explosive on the nose w deep scents of pepper, dried herbs, cherries, cassis intertwined w distinct earth, graphite, smoke & tar. M+bodied, balanced palate, velvety until mid-palate, banging acidity & layers, closing on an enduring, dry-bitter grainy close.

  Opaque, thick bright red with purple, long legs with color
  Big, fruity, oak
  Fruit and oak, not quite ready yet, but very good right now
  Dry, well structured
  Lovely and long
  
  Would drink again, no doubt, but only if someone else is paying.
  Might buy at a store and hold, if available, which it is not.

  A one-dimensional unbalanced fruity mess. Alcoholic charred plums on the nose, similar on the palate; confected red fruit, a little spice, almost entirely lacking any tannic backbone. A herbaceous character perhaps reminiscent of a homemade Italian digestivo. No discernable flaws. Getting through two glasses felt like a punishment that I didn't deserve. Two more of these that I might open with non-wine-geek friends, if those bottles surprise me I'll revise my notes. For now, borderline undrinkable glop.
