Blind tasted. Blackberry and other forest fruits. Fine and mineral palate, tight with clamping tannins. Oak in evidence. Guessed a Cab Franc from the Loire. Too dry and lacking texture for me. A cool vintage in the Languedoc. Hopefully, it needs more time or maybe it just wasn’t ripe enough that year...
Dark hue, nice flavours of garrigue bay, ligth leather, ink and graphite and black pepper. Assez sur la reserve. Fine balance. acceptable length. Rafiné pure et elegant.

A magnificent Mas de Daumas Gassac vertical from the private cellars of Allard Jakobs (Restaurant Sinck, Amsterdam, NL): Starting to show itself, clear and transparent, hint of spice, red cherries, mildly grippy tannins, good to very good length.
