  • Heidi's Crew at St Geneive Minneapolis "quarterly". CV,KB,LI,SS,CS&DD. Tonight was outstanding & so much so, the group voted to meet monthly going fwd. StG's menu tonight screamed Burgundy so that didn't hurt. Kevin's amazing btl. first off, I'll admit I don't know much about the Clavoillon site. I've mostly bought & drank the better known ( to me anyhow) Pucelles & Perrières where coincidentally Clavoillon sits between. As is ofen the case in Burgundy a top producer can coax the best out of any site and thats certainly true here at the hands of Dom Leflaive. Takeaway, buy Leflaive if you're seeking at least one white Burg Puligny Montrachet epiphany! This has it all going tonight for me. Vibrant, fresh, amazing fruit & complexity, length & driving minerality. Superb balance & mouthfeel! Outstanding btl! Thanks Kevin!

  • Heidi's Group: Oh My! (St. Genevieve, Mpls, MN): Light gold color. Drank a glass over 2 hours. This was right on point tonight. A spendid example of what I adore in classically made white burgundy. There is such a deft had at work here; measured, precise, and beautifully manicured. This is the picture of refinement and harmony, a masterful crystalline latticework of minerality, crisp and bright; Meyer lemon, nectarine, and tangerine fruit. This is ultra focused with tension and energy, cool lemon, subtle gunflint, tangerine panna cotta and a cool limestone finish. Great showing. 95+ to 96pts.

  • This one showed as well as I had hoped. Medium to deep gold. Very similar to my notes of 2023 /07/08. Yellow apple, lemon zest, almond and minerals undertones on the nose. The palate just delivers elegance; nothing missing, nothing out of place. So pure.

  • PnP. DIAM cork. Beautiful energy and precision. White fruit and river rock framed by a touch of well-integrated oak. Super classy, a wine in full harmony and punching above its humble vineyard. Really shows the best of the vintage with the stuffing to be long lasting, but so incredibly enjoyable right now.
