  Once again deep gold with that toffee yogurt nose on opening. Leaving a while it seems to open up a bit- there's nice texture some fine butter , hazelnut and lemon but it is all behind a veil of premix- by no means terrible , by no means undrinkable just so disappointing

  Looks like this is going to be a rollercoaster . This bottle was everything I would expect a Leflaive Clavoillon to be -light gold all butter lemon a bit of hazelnut gorgeously long finish not a sniff of premox

  Shane & Caroline's Engagement Lunch (The Conservatory, Crown Wine Cellars, 18 Deep Water Bay Drive, Shouson Hill, Hong Kong): My contribution shared quietly with our table of 8. 1-hour decant. Very pronounced deep golden Manuka honey colour. Has actually lightened up in the glass on serving 2+ hours later. But still has the slightly oxidised nose. But the palate has really shrugged off any question marks - really lemony. I have 9 more bottles and will speed up drinking them as I think this is at peak and maybe on a downward precipice.

  This has a deep golden colour, almost orange, and very rich tropical fruit, intense and long. Perhaps a touch oxidised but enjoyable nevertheless. Certainly fully mature, and perhaps slightly over the top.
