Tonight's bottle was slightly shut down, bright acid but not expressing as much fruit as previous bottles I've drank. Still very tasty. Maybe entering a bit of an awkward phase?

(from memory) Deep lemon, intoxicating nose of white peach, lemon curd, chalky minerality, flint, acacia flowers, and touches of wood, round but structured on the palate with layers of orchard fruits, lemon, medium acidity, and noticeable extract, finish is long and complex with more ripe orchard fruit, wet stone, touches of citrus, and on and on, wow

No detailed notes taken. The renewed Leflaive excellence and the superb 2017 vintage, a combo that can only be fantastic. And it was. From start to finish. Highly layered, and with perfect precision, impeccable balance, fresh and pure and with alluring toasted sesame, popcorn, reduction notes to die for. A smash hit.

Tasted at a restaurant in Beaune. Reductive type of notes of popcorn and matchstick. Fruit of pear and green apple leave you with a super-fresh impression despite the reduction. Broad salty mineral layer. Crispy acidity, good tension and a justly slightly buttery texture. This gains in intensity with aeration which would even warrant a brief decant. Delicate with precise, on-point aromas.
