  • Very good, nice cocoa notes with red fruit, smooth and matched well with dinner. Decent wine at $16

  • Drank the 06 Napa Cab and 04 Napa Merlot with Tisa and Gunther. The 06 Cab is drinking very well, good fruit from start to finish, the merlot had less flavor but was very soft. Color and weight of each wine was very good.

  • Surprisingly good after breathing in the bottle for almost six hours.
Berry forward with nice ripe blueberries and plums.
Some light mocha and espresso on the nose.
Palate is well balanced with just a little heat and a solid finish.
Quite nice for the price...just make sure you let it open.

  • Loads of fruit with a touch of spice, medium finish.

  • Deep dark purple red color. The nose is shy over the first hour and a half after opening. Then it develops into a medium expressive nose of sweet licorice and dark cherry cola. On the palate, it develops strongly towards a meaningful finish, showing lots of jammy plums, dark cherries, and ends with spicy, jammy green and black pepper and real licorice flavors. This kind of transition makes the entrance almost not noticeable. There's a clear smoky, cedar wood flavor and sensation, plus smoky bacon from the mid palate towards the end. The oak is not overriding, but the presence is clear. Pair this wine with a good cut of steak, and still prepare for a overwhelming palatable sensation when the bottle is 3/4 of the way over. Big body and toasty, jammy, spicy flavors for a Merlot.
