Drank in 2020, still young, decanted it for 2 hours but it needs more time to age and balance. Deep purple, lots of fruits (plum, blackberry currant), little vanilla, long lasting.

14.5% alcohol; medium to heavy weight foil, real cork; at a crack in the cork the wine has penetrated 1 centimeter, but generally it is only a couple of millimeters deep; fast legs, deep ruby red; fragrance/nose is highly aromatic -- cherries, kiwi, citrus, orchids, mouthwatering even if you're not especially hungry; vinturied and tasted right away at room temperature --24 degrees C -- tannins, sweet/sour cherries, pears, in a bed of vanilla and maple; the nose promises more fruit than the tasting actually delivers (which isn't necessarily a bad thing); medium finish with traces of dark chocolate, walnuts and almonds; the wine has a lot of potential -- if you have the 2016 vintage in your cellar, hold it for a couple of years; the balance in the wine should be better around 2022-2024; right now it cries out for pairing with grilled rare beef

So lovely. Nose of blueberry, chocolate (of course) and just a touch of spice/tobacco. Taste is of smoothness.
