  • Violets, blue fruits, and a hint of pepper. Fine, powdery, tannins. Good acidity. Elegant. Somewhat short finish. Tasty. Would not wait more than a couple of yrs, if I had more bottles.

  • I really liked the flavor profile of the wine, but I felt that the nose and the length weren’t up to that level. Still a bit of structure to resolve, but just a bit, and I’m not sure that it’d be more to my liking without said structure.

  • Peay syrah! Aromas of blue fruit with a very slight pepper and earthiness. Flavors of about the same - blueberries, slight pepper, and the minerality of the Peay vineyard - remember the shells (scallop shelf pinot). Vanessa is well trained in her craft and keeps refining her product! A little pronounced in acidity (it's a syrah) but mild smooth drinking tannins with that slight earthiness that Peay always gives you.

  • Medium purple color - no bricking
Medium plus aromas of red/ blue fruit with dark florals and smoke/ meat secondaries - fairly fruit driven
Medium bodied with palate of blue fruit and smoked bacon
Medium acidity and medium plus fine grained tannins on gums and tongue
Medium alcohol and medium length finish
Really nice Syrah - fairly Old World style and not fruit driven
Drink now or hold 5-7 years
