Pretty tasty , but not as complex as the previous bottle. Lacks some of the strength and spice of the previous bottle. Fairly light. My wife thought it was a Pinot. Could be past it’s peak, but still delicious.

Initially upon opening there wasn’t much fruit. Later in the day the dark brambly blackberries emerged. This is no blockbuster but a pretty wine. Some nice spices and nutmeg to round things off.

Deep ruby color with straw edges. Moderately aromatic with lavender flower, cranberry, light cherry, and garrigue-centric nose. On the palate is has a medium plus body with garrigue, muted plum fruit, stone. It has an elegant, old-world style with good complexity. Light silky tannins, medium-med/light acidity, with some structure left for a few years of life.
This is a great wine at its peak and with a few years to go. The fruit is more muted than the 2016 Les Titans. This 2008 has an overall profile that reminded me of the 16 Santa Duc les hautes garriges gigondas, except this is a bit more open.
Held up very well in the refrigerator for 48 hours, perhaps even better on day 3.

From memory, enveloping aromas of red and black plum, lilacs, and rocks. Intense concentration of pure clear fruit on the palate, full bodied without a hint of jamminess, strong integrated tannins and bright acids, long finish. Utterly delicious. 13.5% alcohol, amazingly. 94
