  • 처음에 새콤달콤한 향이 나고 그 이후로 다양한 향들이 남 체리 딸기 삼나무 가죽향들이 났었는데 아무래도 20년가까이 된 피노누아라 그런지 숙성향이 두드러짐 산도 좋고 피니시 길고 중간에 탄닌도 꽤 있는것 처럼 느껴지고 다양한 향과 맛이 1시간 이상 나타났음 아무래도 오래된 와인이라 피크에서 지난 느낌이 있고 셀러에 20빈이 있는데 이걸 마셔봐야 이 와인에 대한 정확한 평가가 될것 같다 가성비가 일단 좋진 않은 것 같고 내가 마신 비 부르고뉴 와인중 가장 부르고뉴에 근접한 와인으로 판단되나 같은 돈이면 걍 부르고뉴 적당한 유명생산자 빌라주나 프리미에 크뤼 와인을 마시지 않을까 싶다 좋은 부르고뉴 와인을 많이 마셔보진 않아서 판단하긴 좀 어렵긴 함 약간 양성적인 느낌은 있으나 음성적인 느낌이 우세함. 샹볼 뮈지니 와인을 좋아해서 그런지 취향이 좀 안맞아서 그럴수 있를것 같긴함 취향이 맞았으면 94점 주지 않았을까 싶음

  • Gantenbein Pinot Noir vertical 2001-2016 (Restaurant Musigny Zurich): Very impressive as well. More body than the 2004, stays precise, some stems as well, savory, meaty. Deep aromas, generous wood but still in check. Really like it. 2005 towers also in Switzerland and not as tannic as some Burgundies of this vintage. Early maturity, start drinking.

  • Gantenbein Pinot Noir Vertical: All 16 vintages from 2001 to 2016. Four highlights and conclusions: 1) Consistency: the reputation as „best“ Swiss wine seems deserved. Quality across the years is on very good levels. 2) Style shift? It seems that the winery younger vintages tend to have more toast and roast aromas and are crafted in a more modern, denser and richer style. Older vintages seemed more classic and cool. To me this felt more like a slight shift in style than just youth vs mature wines. 3) The best vintages were 2010 (average score 5 tasters: 95.2), 2004 (94.8), 2013 & 2005 (94.0). Only 2002 was oxidized with the 2008 (89.3), 2003 (90.6) and 2011 (91.0) being at the lower end of the scale. 4) The 2013 lives up to its reputation as „vintage of the century“ with an off-the charts complexity level - but it needs time. Other vintages currently offer better drinking pleasure. Overall it was a great experience trying to capture the essence of this Swiss cult winery.

    Short TN: Good freshness, good harmony, beautifully matured with nice tertiary aromatics with tobacco, leather and earth aromas along with sweet strawberries. Good length. I was not as fond of this wine as others at the table as it faded to some extent after 10+ minutes in the glass. Not sure how much life is left here. First few minutes were a 95 point experience, the last sip was rather at 90 points.

  • Gantenbein vertical 2001-16 (Restaurant Musigny, Zurich): Fruit profile shows cranberry in addition to cherry. A bit more meaty than other neighbouring vintages. Round, full and dense on the palate. Tangible but fine tannins.

  • Vertical of 16 vintages of Gantenbein Pinot Noir.

    Warmer and bigger than the 2004 tasted before, with beautiful notes of toast, caramel, sweet red and dark red berries, smoke, also some dark chocolate. It's medium-full bodied and dense, but with medium-high acidity providing freshness to balance the richness and medium tannin that is very elegant. Excellent length. A slightly bigger Gantenbein but everything is perfect harmony. Superb.
