With an unusual bouquet for a Pinot Noir, it is very Burgundian on the palate, fresh and balanced. Silky textured, beguiling fruit, polished tannins, lots of finesse, long finish. A great wine

Deep and really quite dense ruby. Glossy nose initially, the new oak signature still present, though this does seem to dissipate, or at least one can tune it out. Rich, Vosne-like spice and flair. Lovely on the palate, rich, dark glossy fruit, spice, and quite a weighty sense in the mouth. Long and complex. First look at the 08 and it’s lovely. Good to go now but with years in the tank. Unsurprisingly, a lovely match with Zürcher Geschnetzeltes. ****1/2

This drank well and stood up against a 2010 Drouhin Clos de Beze. The use of oak here is quite prominent but it works well with the fruit. The nose is very charming, and really reminds of Vosne with prominent spices, red fruit and a touch of farmyard. Well done Martha Gantenbein. I hope more Swiss winemakers will follow suit with wines of such quality.

blind I guessed PN from Germany or NZL because of the clone, the oak (dark roasted aromas) is still present but not that dominat. Roses, strawberry. Not my cup of tea at the moment. Missing elegance. Maybe needs more time. 91

From a cool cellar this was beautifully energetic. Got better over an hour or two. Initially a bit NZ Pinot nose, but got more Burgundian with time.
